On June 1, 2023, the "Wind Power Generation System Technical Specification for Wind Turbine Ring Forgings" national standard launch meeting was successfully held in Jinan City. The meeting was hosted by the National Wind Power Standardization Technical Committee and organized by Iraeta Forgings.More than 50 experts, scholars and business representatives from more than 30 units, including wind power owners, complete machine enterprises, tower enterprises, flange enterprises and certification bodies from all over China, attended the conference.‍‍

Standards are an important cornerstone for the stable and healthy development of the industry. In recent years, the continued expansion of the market size, the significant growth of the individual power, the rise of offshore wind power and the construction of a large number of high towers in onshore low wind speed areas and other factors, the flange, gears and other structural components, transmission components put forward higher requirements, China's wind power industry is in urgent need of higher-level national standards to regulate the introduction.

‍‍At the beginning of the conference, Ren Jun, secretary-general of the National Wind Power Standardization Technical Committee, first expressed his heartfelt thanks to the experts who participated in this meeting, and fully affirmed the hard work of the editor-in-chief in the standard-setting process. He pointed out that wind power is a source of vitality to promote the comprehensive green transformation of national economic and social development, and is also an important industry that drives China's high-end equipment to participate in global market competition. I hope that the experts, business representatives in the preparation of this national standard to pool their wisdom and effectively promote China's wind power industry to achieve higher quality development.‍‍

Subsequently, the participating experts had a detailed and enthusiastic discussion on the standard clauses and put forward many constructive opinions and suggestions in conjunction with the actual operation of each company. After this kick-off meeting, the subsequent work will continue to be prepared according to the division of labor of the working groups, as well as the relevant requirements and suggestions of the government and industry collection.‍‍

After this kick-off meeting, the participating experts also came to the IRAETA Nuclear Deep Sea Industrial Park for inspection and guidance.
